Lagaan - "The Thrill of Victory"

Lagaan, the iconic Bollywood film comes to life in this 4D moving theater experience at Bollywood Parks Dubai. Our teams crafted the sound design from scratch, literally. In creating the sounds for this project we took the extra time needed in our foley studios to hand craft the cracking of the wood, the sliding on the steel, and the vocalizations throughout the film. In the end we were onsite for the final 7.1 mix integrations for the main show, preshow and queue areas.

Infiniti - "Q50 - Dubai Fountain"

Building on the foundation of the study launched in November 2016, Infiniti Middle East has brought the brain data obtained by their customers to life in a way never been done before. With test drivers brain data being analysed by Emotiv Inc. to deliver on the quantifiable analysis, Infiniti Middle East selected Yessian Music as a producer to take these brain waves and convert them into a harmonious melody that pays homage to the Middle Eastern heritage with distinct notes. Working with Emaar Properties, Infiniti Middle East choreographed a special performance of The Dubai Fountain, in the heart of Downtown Dubai and the largest fountain in the world, spanning four days that will be synced with the song created by the brain data. Launched under the banner of ‘UnleashYourPotential’ Infiniti Middle East in collaboration with Emotiv Inc sought to demonstrate how the changes in brain activity when driving the powerful sports sedan can affect their enjoyment, excitement, engagement and focus all through the power of sound.

One World Observatory - "See Forever"

The One World Observatory experience at One World Trade Center in New York City starts from the moment visitors arrive. We created a fully immersive music and sound design palate and onsite mix, immersing visitors in audio themes at the lobby level and then carrying them through to an interactive map that signals where people are arriving from around the world. From there visitors journey through the “Voices” of the building section where we mixed music scores, sound design and the voices of the individuals that worked on One World Trade Center. In Foundations, people will experience the bedrock that the building is built upon along with sounds that would be present deep below the earth. The Elevator to the top is an experience like no other as NYC builds up around you from the early 1600s through to present day arriving at the 102nd floor. Once at the top visitors immediately enter the See Forever Theater for a magical film and audio experience ending with a view of the city. Throughout the observation deck there are interactive displays and music that surrounds visitors. Finally the ride down is something out of hollywood with one of the most unbelievable visual and sound experiences ever created in an elevator giving a full 360 degree view of One World Trade Center. From creative concepts to original scores and sound design to the final onsite mix, we were responsible for overseeing the entire audio experience and delivering one of the worlds most innovative experiences.

Wanda Movie Park - "Hubei in the Air"

Opened in 2015, Wanda Movie Park is China’s newest indoor theme park made up of interactive and 4D/5D rides. Hubei in the Air is a fully immersive fly theater film lifting people up in the air on a robotic arm and flying over the Hubei province of China. Since the experience focuses on this specific region of China, careful attention was given to the Chinese music style as it was important to resonate with the people in the Hubei province from a cultural standpoint. This experience is combined with wind, scent and water effects that give people a true feeling of flying. With over 2 years in the making, we took the project from conceptual design to full implementation of the sonic experience together with Pixomondo. We then created full orchestral scores and sound design utilizing a live 80 piece symphony orchestra, 40 person choir and specifically created sound foley for the main film, queue and pre-show areas. Our onsite mix team then brought a full ProTools rig to the location mixing the main theater in 18.1 surround sound as well and various multi-speaker environmental queue and preshow areas.

Dos Equis - "Masquerade"

The Dos Equis "Masquerade" film is a fully immersive online "choose your own adventure" type experience which utilizes the Oculus Rift. Starring Dos Equis' "The Most Interesting Man In The World", he takes you on a journey through a mansion where a masquerade is taking place and it is the user's objective to find his Little Black Book he misplaced. The user can then choose how they would like to explore the mansion and interact with various characters to find the missing book. Depending on the routes taken, players either recover the book or have to try again. With multiple ways to go each time, we were charged with creating music and sound design that could carry the user from room to room without skipping a beat. We created a series of music nodes working hand in hand with the web designers to match the movement and pacing of each scene to create a cohesive experience throughout the entire online mansion matching sound to interactive motion.

Bobbejaanland - "Forbidden Caves"

Bobbejaanland, located just outside Antwerp, is Belgium's largest theme park. In 2015, we created the music, sound design and audio mix for their newest attraction together with Super 78 in Los Angeles. The 4D immersive tunnel takes people deep into the Forbidden Caves in the center of the earth. Guests ride on a tram like vehicle that tosses and turns as they explore the caves where they are met by giant scorpions, beetles and stone statue warriors that come to life and attack the tram. The screens surround the trams fully creating a life like 3D experience mixed with 4D special effects. Yessian created the full orchestral music scores, life-like sound design and on-board/off-board audio mixes from the queue/pre-show walk throughs, ride vehicles and post-show exit. Mixing took place both in studio as well on on-site to create a life like experience that has guests riding over and over.

Wanda Movie Park - "Ultimate Energy Mech Wars"

Opened in 2015, Wanda Movie Park is China’s newest indoor theme park made up of interactive and 4D/5D rides. Ultimate Energy is a fully immersive 5D theater film that incorporates a 3D visual, live actors and special effects. The story takes the audience in the heat of a powerful Mech War that has similarities to the Terminator franchise. With over 2 years in the making, we took the project from conceptual design to full implementation of the sonic experience collaborating with Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound. We then created full orchestral scores utilizing a live 80 piece symphony orchestra, 40 person choir for the main film, queue and pre-show areas. Our onsite mix team then brought a full ProTools rig to the location mixing the main theater in 26.1 surround sound as well and various multi-speaker environmental queue and preshow areas lead by the team from Skywalker Sound.

United Airlines - "Safety Is Global"

Since 2011, Yessian Music has collaborated with United Airlines and mcgarrybowen/New York arranging the full audio experiences for the airlines commercials, inflight audio and film experiences. Starting with the initial re-arrangements of George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" we have worked with the London Symphony and New York Philharmonic orchestras to reimagine the famed piece of music, developing versions for various platforms. From fitting an entire orchestra on a Boeing 767 at LAX to transforming Abbey Road Studio 1 into a cockpit, we have partnered with the United team on all types of initiatives. In this latest project we took the 2015 United Airlines safety video to an international level arranging Rhapsody in Blue for Chinese flutes, Peruvian drums, Chicago blues guitars and Scottish bagpipes. Nissan - "Red Thread"

For over 30 years, Yessian Music has created the sound for live press events at auto shows around the globe with various car companies. From original music scoring, live ensembles/choirs/artists, sound design, and onsite mix capabilities, we implement the full sonic experience. Since 2013 we have partnered with INvnt and Nissan Automotive creating the "Red Thread" sound that has driven the launch of dozens of new vehicles from Sao Paulo to Frankfurt and Tokyo to Dubai. We invented an iconic brand sound and thematic music score that resonates from each of the shows that travel the world and then rearranging the sound for each city throughout the year to best represent the vehicle and technology being launched. In the end, it is the perfect balance of music, sound design, voices and sometimes pyrotechnics.

Happy Valley Shanghai - "Flight of the Dragon"

Happy Valley Theme Park in Shanghai is one of China's largest theme park operators with parks across the country. Flight of the Dragon is a fly ride that lifts people into the air in an IMAX type theater to give the sense that they are soaring high above the ground. The film is based around a mystical flying dragon, that is part of the Chinese culture, who leads riders on a journey through various provinces of China including the Yangtze River, Great Wall and finishing in the shimmering city of Shanghai. We worked together with Super 78 to create the music scores, sound design through to the onsite location mix at the venue. The goal was to create an inspiring orchestral score with nods to the Chinese culture to create a sound that would bring the landscapes to life.

Movie Park Germany - "Lost Temple"

Movie Park Germany, located just outside Düsseldorf, is one of Germany's largest theme parks. In 2014, we created the music, sound design and audio mix for their newest attraction together with Super 78 in Los Angeles. The 4D immersive tunnel takes people deep into a Lost Temple deep underground. Guests ride on a tram like vehicle that tosses and turns as they explore the temple where they are met by various prehistoric creatures that attack the tram. The screens surround the trams fully creating a life like 3D experience mixed with 4D special effects. Yessian created the full orchestral music scores, life-like sound design and on-board/off-board audio mixes from the queue/pre-show walk throughs, ride vehicles and post-show exit. Mixing took place both in studio as well on on-site to create a life like experience that has guests riding over and over.

Fort Edmonton Park - "Northern Lights"

Located in Edmonton, Fort Edmonton Park is Canada's largest open air museum with historic homes and buildings on streets that represent the 1800's and Early 1900's. As part of their expansion in 2011 they updated and transformed the Historic Capitol Theater into 4D theater that would showcase a film on the history of Edmonton from the First Nations People that originally called Edmonton home through to the 1950's. The theater is a fully immersive experience that incorporates 3D effects, live props, snowfall in the theater and the sense of being outdoors in the arctic Canadian wind. We were charged with creating a full music score that would take the audience though these various periods working with First Nations tribal leaders to craft and record authentic sounds, Voice Over recordings in native Cree, French and early settler accents as well as sound design that would bring the theater to life. We then completed a full onsite mix at the venue at the end of the project.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi - "Speed of Magic"

Housed in the world's largest manmade dome, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is the worlds only All-Ferrari based theme park. The park includes the world's fastest roller coaster, 3D/4D rides, simulators, water rides and games. The Speed of Magic is a 7 screen 3D fast paced dark ride that moves visitors along in a car on a track system. As it approaches each screen a different visual plays out complete with music scoring, sound design and movement in the ride vehicle. We recorded a full orchestra for the music score which plays out in the queue/preshow areas and main show. Besides this we created the music for the dark water ride which transports people into the belly of a Ferrari V12 engine. We recorded several Ferrari cars in the field especially for the project. Finally we created the area sound for the entire park-wide audio system which consisted on mixing for over 500 speakers and zones throughout the indoor park. We completed an onsite mix with several ProTools rigs for all the attractions throughout the park over the course of several months.

Wanda Movie Park - "Star Journey"

Opened in 2015, Wanda Movie Park is China’s newest indoor theme park made up of interactive and 4D/5D rides. Star Journey is a 3D moving ride that seats 30 people in a "space ship" type simulator that give the feeling of extreme warp speeds and movement in space. The experience has several journeys that are randomly chosen, so that each time you ride you experience a different story. With over 2 years in the making, we took the project from conceptual design to full implementation of the sonic experience together with Pixomondo. We then created full orchestral scores and sound design utilizing a live 80 piece symphony orchestra, 40 person choir and specifically created sound foley for the main film, queue and pre-show areas. We were charged with creating the sounds of fictional space creatures that the world has never seen or heard before. Our onsite mix team then brought a full ProTools rig to the location mixing each space pod in 7.1 surround sound as well and various multi-speaker environmental queue and preshow areas which were meant to simulate a working space station.

Windows Of The World - "Flying Over America"

Located in Shenzhen China, Windows of the World is a theme park made of of miniature versions of some of the world's most famous monuments. In 2010 they were looking to expand their offerings and we teamed with Super 78 to create the music for a new fly film called "Flying Over America". The ride lifts people into the air in an IMAX type theater to give the sense that they are soaring high above the ground. The film takes the rider on a journey through North America's most treasured landmarks and landscapes including Yosemite, New York City, Washington DC, Niagara Falls, and the Golden Gate Bridge. We worked together with Super 78 to create the music scores, sound design through to the onsite location mix at the venue. The goal was to create an inspiring orchestral score highlighting American culture to create a sound that would bring the landscapes to life.
